Old Spot Red -

We have found something even better than the Malbec Shiraz - a bit hmmmm...more flavoursome, if that is possible. We constantly strive to keep Pig in a Poke the best quality that we can find. So it is now Shiraz and Aglianico from Italy - ripe, flavoursome, soft, everything that the first bottling was. We think this combo is fantastic because it delivers all the jammy flavours that you'd ever want (imagine: turbo charged blackcurrants, damsons, cherries and much more) at a great value-for-money price .

Its a fruit-driven style, free of complex distractions, crafted for early drinking. Soft, supple and velvet-smooth, it will accompany all sorts of hearty foods excellently - big T-bone steaks, rich stews, sausages and mash, roasts… and anything containing pork of course!

Old Spot White 

is a refreshing dry'ish white wine made from the grape Malvasia from the S.E. Italian region of Umbria - soft easy drinking. Fruity and Flirty ! Pinot Style. 

March 2010 saw the arrival of  Old Spot Rose - A great blend of two grape varieties Montepulciano and Syrah from the south of Italy. The wine was chosen by 42 hardy soles at The Swan in Hammersmith and has now excitingly come to market.If you haven't tasted us before then you can expect a refreshing, flavoursome and fruity rosé that is not dry.

Our job is to maintain the same style of wine time and again so that you can enjoy Pig in a Poke every single time you drink it. So from time to time we may change the country of origin and/or grape varieties of wine to where we can maintain that same style, taste and flavour that Pig in a Poke wines have become famous for. Of course wine changes in the bottle as well over time a little so we monitor it all the time - tough job but someone has to do it!

We will always tell you on the label and on the website – we’re not hiding any nasties just keeping our wine up to scratch for your satisfaction.
